Job Description OverviewYou will be the Manufacturing Engineer, Senior for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) development team. Our team is responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes for the NGI program as it transitions from development to low‑rate initial production.What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team focused on ensuring designs are producible and cost‑competitive. Discover more about our Orlando, Florida location.MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN –This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related engineering disciplineAbility to obtain a Secret security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to startA broad base of professional knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical productionProfessional experience with product manufacturability (DFM), producibility, and design for cost (DFC)Desired Skills:Experience with the design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical systemsExperience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flowShop floor Manufacturing Engineering experienceExperience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadershipStatement of work and proposal development experienceExperience with Make-Buy generation and strategyExperience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handlingManufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) knowledge/experienceLean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt CertificationAbility to travel domestic and/or internationally 25-30%Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
