THE WORK

Engineering Prototyping Center Manufacturing role involves developing and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures in a collaborative environment, leveraging technology and data analysis to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement, and optimizing operations to achieve operational excellence.

As a member of Manufacturing Engineering team, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, fabrication, and material handling.
  • Drive adoption of emerging technologies (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Create and analyze 3 D model data environments to optimize manufacturing workflows and generate digital work instructions.
  • Apply deep knowledge of materials and automated processes to define operation procedures and build sequencing that supports operational excellence.
  • Evaluate equipment and tool performance-including IoT enabled devices-to verify efficiency, diagnose issues, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Leverage factory data to develop statistical process control (SPC) methods and integrate reporting and analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Provide design input on product concepts and specifications to ensure optimal use of equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
  • 3 or more years of experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with CAD or CREO

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with CNC programming and 3D CAD
  • Experience with CATIA, 3D, ProE
  • Hands on machining experience
  • Experience with Microsoft office and tools such as ERP, MES, PLM , SAP, Solumina and Delmia
  • Six Sigma Black belt certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
