    Description:The Lockheed Martin Space Production Operations Team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support production at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA! The role will require you to be organized with excellent attention-to-detail and a self-starting approach to work activities. In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following work tasks:
    - Write, maintain, and redline process/work instructions for the manufacture of structures, fabrication of composites, and application of thermal protection systems.
    - Work with Production team daily to ensure manufacturing processes are appropriate and any obstacles removed.
    - Collaborate with planning team and production leadership to ensure schedule and priority alignment
    - Support Quality Engineering in root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related defects and ensure any follow-on direction is properly documented in work instructions.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related degree from accredited college/university or equivalent experience/combined education
    • Previous experience with manufacturing engineering, manufacturing engineering technology, or mechanical assembly and integration
    • Experience creating and/or utilizing manufacturing work instructions and/or standard operating procedures
    • Experience reading engineering drawings and understanding and utilizing geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
    • US Citizen
    Desired Skills:
    • Knowledge of creation, edit, and/or maintenance manufacturing bills of material and manufacturing principles
    • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space or industry equivalent tools (ERP/SAP, EPDM, VE-CAMS, PMP Database, etc.)
    • Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
