Our client, a leading organization in the medical manufacturing industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Technician
Location: Abbott Park, IL
Shift: 6am - 2:30pm
What's the Job?
- Provide real-time technical support to production lines, responding quickly to equipment alarms, process interruptions, and mechanical/automation issues.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of manufacturing equipment, including automated filling and packaging lines, custom bottle assembly equipment, fermentation and bioprocess units, vision inspection systems, robotic pick and place units, and labeling and material handling equipment.
- Serve as an equipment subject matter expert (SME) for assigned systems and assist in training and mentoring other technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Engage in automation initiatives supporting fermentation, biologics production, and automated fill/finish processes.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of troubleshooting, testing, parts used, and equipment condition, while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma and two years of qualifying experience, or an Associate Degree, trade school certification, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting and supporting both new and aging facilities, utilities, and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to organize work and provide technical assistance and training.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
