Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, planning, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and product quality. This Manufacturing Engineer role plays a key part in quoting, process planning, and ensuring that all components and assemblies meet customer specifications while maintaining on-time delivery and profitability.
Required Experience & Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Experience with CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar)
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inspection methods
Ability to estimate manufacturing time, inspection requirements, and costs
Strong communication skills across multiple departments and with external partners
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (3+ years preferred)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Engineer role includes:
Develop and communicate manufacturing and inspection processes for each job
Prepare accurate quotes for components and assemblies based on customer specifications
Interpret customer models, CATIA files, and technical drawings
Plan production workflows to ensure first-time product conformity
Estimate manufacturing, inspection, and outsourced processing costs
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to improve processes and efficiency
Troubleshoot specification and production issues with customers and internal teams
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure outsourced components meet requirements
Support production teams with process improvements and problem resolution
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
Preferred Experience
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
Experience in estimating, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering roles
Familiarity with aerospace or precision manufacturing environments
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Willingness to assist on the production floor when troubleshooting processes
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
