Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will:
- Design and develop CNC workholding fixtures, tooling, soft jaws, nests, clamps, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Create and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, machinists, and machine operators to review concepts and optimize fixture designs.
- Support fixture testing, validation, and implementation on the production floor.
- Prepare and maintain setup sheets, tooling documentation, work instructions, and process flow information.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle times, minimizing scrap, and improving operational efficiency.
- Conduct root cause investigations and assist with corrective actions related to manufacturing and quality issues.
- Support standardization efforts for tooling and fixture components.
- Assist with engineering change implementation and update manufacturing documentation as required.
- Work closely with quality and inspection teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet specification requirements.
- Promote safe working practices and support environmental, health, and safety initiatives throughout the facility.
