The role ensures site execution aligns with enterprise manufacturing engineering standards, strategies, and priorities established by the Director of Manufacturing Engineering.QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering , Industrial Engineering, or equivalent as a Graduate Engineer.8–12 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering roles.Prior experience leading or coordinating manufacturing or process engineering teams.Automotive or hydraulic manufacturing experience preferred.Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.Position requires U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (Green Card) due to ITAR complianceSkills RequiredManufacturing process design for welding, machining, assembly, testing, and paintingHydraulic systems knowledge, preferably hydraulic cylindersCNC machining operations and programming supportMethods, motion, and time study techniquesValue Stream Mapping (VSM) and lean manufacturingEngineering data management (BOMs, routings, cycle times, consumables)Plant layout, workflow optimization, and material handling designAutomation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technology integrationISO 9001 documentation and complianceSOP and work instruction developmentRoot cause analysis and corrective action executionKPI monitoring and performance improvementAutoCAD and MS Office proficiencyKey ResponsibilitiesServe as the site manufacturing engineer, coordinating all manufacturing/process engineering activities at the plant.Provide day‑to‑day leadership and technical direction to manufacturing engineers and plant functional engineering team members.Assign engineering priorities, manage workloads, and ensure timely execution of engineering activities supporting production and NPD.Lead manufacturing process design, optimization, and standardization for welding, machining, assembly, testing, and painting operations.Support New Product Introduction activities by ensuring manufacturing readiness, validation, and launch execution.Lead productivity, efficiency, and flow improvements through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Coordinates and oversee methods, motion, and time studies to improve labor and equipment utilization and drive cost savings.Manages the site capital expenditure priority list.Support deployment of approved automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing solutions.Oversee development and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.Ensure accuracy and governance of engineering data including BOMs, routings, cycle times, tooling, and consumables.Ensure manufacturing processes comply with ISO 9001 requirements and support internal and external audits.Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and process‑related issues.Monitor, track, and report site KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and cost.Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering teams.Support training of production personnel on new processes, equipment, and standard work.Facilitate transfer and adoption of best practices and manufacturing standards from other Wipro global facilities.Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading all manufacturing/process engineering activities at the site.
