Express Employment in Harlingen is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in Weslaco. MUST HAVE A DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OR 10+ YEARS EXPERIENCE.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
  • Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule and document work orders.
  • Support safety protocols by adhering to industry standards for low voltage work, high voltage handling, and the use of scissor lifts or other field equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and reducing downtime.

Skills

  • Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical drawings essential for troubleshooting complex systems.
