Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off

Salary Range: $120,000

The candidate will perform a variety of engineering work in the development, improvement, and optimization of multiple processes and techniques, including circuit card assembly, standard module assembly, and electro-mechanical final assembly. The work will include improving and optimizing current processes, implementing new tooling, improving existing tooling, and creating robust technical documentation on existing processes and tooling.

Job Description:

  • Develops, implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers.
  • Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems.
  • Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
  • Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products.
  • Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Implementing manufacturing standard work and best practices to improve operational metrics.
  • Translate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex end-products.
  • Work with existing and legacy equipment.
  • Control and improve existing processes.
  • Perform failure analysis and risk mitigation.
  • Complete technical writing and training related tasks.
  • Coordinate with maintenance group for equipment upkeep and training.
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor"s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering background preferred.
  • Experience with legacy tooling, code, and equipment.
  • Robust project management and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate project status and risks to leadership team.
  • Expertise in making data driven decisions to improve and develop processes.
  • Experience using DFM, Six-Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Experience using DMAIC process and associated tools.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor"s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
