Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Location: Rochester, NY Duration: 1 year (Temp-to-Perm possible) Pay Rate: $55.03/hour on W2 Shift Timings: 9/80 schedule, 1st shift, start between 6:30–8:00 AM; willingness to work OT, weekends, and holidays Job Description: Join Space and Airborne Systems’ Assembly, Integration, and Test Focus Factory as a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer. This role combines hands-on work on the manufacturing floor with desk-based planning and documentation. You’ll help ensure low-volume, high-precision opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical products are assembled, integrated, and tested efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities: Review, interpret, and provide feedback on electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical drawings Translate drawings into detailed work instructions for assembly, integration, and testing Troubleshoot technical issues collaboratively to minimize schedule delays Coordinate across multiple disciplines to meet program milestones Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation Balance multiple projects and priorities while communicating clearly to operations leadership Adhere to company policies, procedures, and labor practices Be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed Required Skills & Education: Hard Skills: 2–8 years of experience in manufacturing and/or prototyping environments Ability to interpret electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical drawings Translate drawings into actionable work instructions Troubleshooting and documentation skills Soft Skills: Strong coordination and collaboration across disciplines Multi-tasking in a dynamic work environment Clear communication with leadership Flexibility to work OT, weekends, holidays Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have): Aerospace or Defense industry experience
