Your Impact As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support manufacturing engineering activities by assisting with process documentation, production support, ERP configuration, tooling concepts, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience that connects engineering design, manufacturing execution, and daily production operations. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to document manufacturing methods, improve production documentation, support Epicor infrastructure, generate production-ready drawings, and contribute to practical solutions that enhance operational performance. Physical Demands and Work Environment Work is performed in both a climate-controlled engineering office and an active manufacturing environment. Physical requirements include standing and walking on concrete floors for extended periods while observing manufacturing processes, reviewing equipment, and collaborating with operators. The position also requires prolonged periods of computer work for CAD drafting, documentation management, and Epicor-related activities. Employees must be able to inspect equipment, review tooling, bend, reach, and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The manufacturing environment includes exposure to moving mechanical equipment, industrial machinery, and moderate-to-high noise levels. Strict adherence to all safety procedures is required, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, and hearing protection where applicable.
