Description
- Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and project leadership.
- Oversee engineering activities supporting manufacturing operations, customer requirements, and new product development initiatives.
- Drive process optimization projects focused on improving productivity, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, work instructions, engineering change procedures, and production plans.
- Review customer requirements and product designs to ensure manufacturability and efficient production.
- Design and improve production tooling, including progressive and compound die applications.
- Collaborate with production, tooling, quality, and commercial teams to resolve technical challenges and support ongoing operations.
- Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, managing budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Support quality initiatives including process validation, corrective actions, capability studies, and continuous improvement activities.
- Analyze manufacturing performance data and identify opportunities for automation, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders while contributing to business growth and innovation initiatives.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and cost reduction programs throughout the operation.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
- Minimum of five years of engineering experience within manufacturing.
- Experience leading engineering teams, projects, or technical resources.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, machining, assembly, and metal-forming operations.
- Ability to develop and improve manufacturing systems, processes, and production methodologies.
- Experience supporting quality systems and regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with engineering design software and technical documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience driving Lean or operational excellence initiatives.
