An established industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations within a precision components and bearing manufacturing environment. Description

  • Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and project leadership.
  • Oversee engineering activities supporting manufacturing operations, customer requirements, and new product development initiatives.
  • Drive process optimization projects focused on improving productivity, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, work instructions, engineering change procedures, and production plans.
  • Review customer requirements and product designs to ensure manufacturability and efficient production.
  • Design and improve production tooling, including progressive and compound die applications.
  • Collaborate with production, tooling, quality, and commercial teams to resolve technical challenges and support ongoing operations.
  • Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, managing budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Support quality initiatives including process validation, corrective actions, capability studies, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance data and identify opportunities for automation, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders while contributing to business growth and innovation initiatives.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and cost reduction programs throughout the operation.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of engineering experience within manufacturing.
  • Experience leading engineering teams, projects, or technical resources.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, machining, assembly, and metal-forming operations.
  • Ability to develop and improve manufacturing systems, processes, and production methodologies.
  • Experience supporting quality systems and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software and technical documentation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience driving Lean or operational excellence initiatives.
