Manufacturing Engineer

Lead and supervise a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting production and process improvement initiatives. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput. Prepare estimates for production times, labor requirements, equipment, materials, and related manufacturing costs. Utilize CAD software, preferably CATIA V5, to create 3D models from customer drawings and engineering requirements. Generate manufacturing drawings, product structures, and technical documentation to support production. Establish and maintain manufacturing processes, tolerances, and work instructions. Collaborate closely with production, quality, and other departments to prioritize engineering activities. Support shop floor operations and subcontractors by resolving manufacturing and engineering challenges. Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives to improve operational performance. Analyze production issues and implement corrective actions using strong problem-solving methodologies. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, aerospace specifications, and manufacturing standards. Communicate effectively across departments and shifts to support production objectives.

Experience leading or supervising Manufacturing Engineering teams. Manufacturing engineering experience within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of machining processes, manufacturing methods, and process improvement. Proficiency with CAD software; CATIA V5 experience preferred. Experience creating 3D models, manufacturing documentation, and product structures. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies. Strong understanding of production planning, labor estimation, and manufacturing cost analysis. Experience working with ERP systems; Epicor experience is a plus. Understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 principles preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines. U.S. Citizenship or work authorization required.
