You will partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Program Management, and customers to drive process improvements, support new product introduction (NPI), and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to influence business decisions, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and shape the future of our manufacturing operations.Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team, ensuring training, performance, and accountabilityDrive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S implementationPartner with Quality, Operations, and Program Management to ensure efficient and compliant production processesLead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including risk assessments and process developmentOversee Engineering Change Order (ECO/ECN) processes and assess product/process impactsAnalyze production workflows, staffing needs, and capacity planning to optimize efficiencyEstablish and monitor KPIs and implement statistical process control methodsSupport CAPA processes, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsProvide technical expertise on IPC, J-STD, and electronics manufacturing standardsReview manufacturability, cost, and resource estimates for customer quotesCoordinate equipment planning, selection, validation, and facility layout optimizationCollaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on material specifications and compliance (i.e. RoHS)Serve as a key problem-solving resource for production and customer-related inquiriesQualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field10–15+ years of experience in Manufacturing (EMS preferred)3-8+ years leadership experience managing engineering or manufacturing teamsStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimizationExperience with NPI, ECN processes, and quality systemsFamiliarity with IPC standards, ISO requirements, and regulatory complianceExperience with ERP systems and manufacturing databasesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levelsPhysical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout a manufacturing environmentOccasional lifting up to 25 poundsAbility to work in a production setting with moderate noise and exposure to equipmentWhat We Offer Performance based management bonusOpportunities for career advancementSupportive team environment focused on collaborationBenefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, Life, LTD, 401(k) & matching, paid time off, tuition reimbursementLegal Notice This position requires access to ITAR-controlled technical data.
