Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Support new product introductions by developing robust manufacturing processes and documentation.
  • Evaluate manufacturing workflows and implement process improvements that increase throughput and reduce waste.
  • Manage capital equipment projects including specification, procurement, installation, validation, and startup.
  • Develop manufacturing standards, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and process documentation.
  • Partner with Quality Engineering to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Monitor key manufacturing KPIs including OEE, scrap, cycle time, labor efficiency, and capacity utilization.
  • Collaborate with Operations to support production planning and capacity expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership or engineering management experience.
  • Experience supporting high-volume or high-mix manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with process development, tooling, automation, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and team development abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within aerospace, defense, medical device, electronics, or precision manufacturing.
  • Experience with cable assemblies, connectors, or electromechanical products.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience implementing automation and robotics.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC standards, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
  • CAD experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), PFMEA, DOE, and APQP.
