    Manufacturing Engineering Technician

    Manufacturing Engineering Technician

    Position Summary

    The Manufacturing Engineering Technician provides technical support to the Manufacturing Engineering team by assisting with the development, implementation, improvement, and optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems. This position supports process design, equipment testing and troubleshooting, production layouts, and process documentation while helping resolve routine technical issues. Working closely with engineering and production teams, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician effectively collaborates contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations through continuous process improvement and adherence to engineering and quality standards.

    Essential Job Functions

    Support process improvements to resolve manufacturing throughput and quality issues and increase work center performance.

    Collaborate with operators, supervisors, engineers, and vendors to drive changes.

    Create and maintain work instructions, shop aids, minor subassembly or assembly tooling as well as manufacturing documentation.

    Assist with assembling and implementing test equipment as well as evaluating test procedures when required to perform quality checks.

    Provide input for tooling design and manufacturing process development.

    Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and production readiness.

    Track and communicate job status, performance metrics, and cost-saving results.

    Work with Manufacturing Engineers using CAD software to support process improvements and manufacturing investigations.

    Support the development and improvement of manufacturing policies, procedures, and standards.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Title:

    Sr Manufacturing Engineering Technician

    Position Summary

    The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician provides advanced technical support to the Manufacturing Engineering team by assisting with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems. This position independently troubleshoots complex manufacturing issues, conducts equipment testing and validation, develops and maintains technical documentation, and supports process optimization initiatives to improve safety, quality, cost, and productivity. The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician serves as a technical resource to engineering and production teams, mentors less experienced technicians, and helps ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Minimum Position Qualifications

    Education

    High School Diploma or equivalent required. Related vocational certifications and working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.

    Experience

    Manufacturing Engineering Technician:

    3+ years of manufacturing, mechanical, or production support experience, preferably in aerospace.

    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

    Experience working with production equipment and manufacturing processes.

    Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

    Preferred Knowledge

    Understanding of aircraft design, manufacturing, certification, and support.

    Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

    Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), tooling, and process improvement.

    Sr Manufacturing Engineering Technician:

    5 years of Manufacturing Engineering Technician experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required, preferably in aerospace.

    Ability to lead technician functions and mentor less experienced technicians

    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

    Experience working with production equipment and manufacturing processes.

    Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

    Preferred Knowledge

    Understanding of aircraft design, manufacturing, certification, and support.

    Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

    Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), tooling, process improvement, and effectiveness in organizational cross-function collaboration.

    Travel and overtime are required when necessary.
