Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Job TitleRequired Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Required Qualification: Basic Microsoft Office skills Ability to work as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to work with assemblers and other non-technical personnel Ability to teach and coach others Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner to meet assigned deadlines Preferred experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience Direct production support (front line, day-to-day hands-on experience) Manufacturing technician or technologist Prior medical device experience Trade school certification, specialized training/apprenticeship and/or equivalent in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or other equivalent Training or babysitting experience nice to have as it demonstrates coaching/teaching Individual Should: Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction Have excellent organization, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to build relationships positively with people of varying personalities and cultures Possess strong judgement with a focus on quality What You'll Do: Must be open to working overtime based on production and staffing needs (possibly several days a month) Front-line engineering technician Provide production support in clean room >90% of day, responding to escalations from Operations (i.e. scrap, process questions, equipment issues, etc.) Build SME-level knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and best practices and support the Operations team in coaching assemblers Investigate scrap generated throughout the shift and understand root cause through dissection and assembler observation/discussion Provide data-driven and evidence-based feedback and coaching to assemblers on scrap Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and documentation, as required Proactively monitor line performance and drive immediate corrections or escalations
