Tesla Automation is seeking Manufacturing Engineering Technicians to support the installation, alignment, commissioning, and production ramp-up of advanced manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional team to deliver high-performance automation systems that enable world-leading vehicle production across multiple sites.
- Lead end-to-end equipment setup and commissioning including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic integration, rigging, alignment, power-on sequencing, I/O verification, functional testing, and qualification
- Execute equipment upgrades, retrofits, and modifications in partnership with engineering and production teams to improve machine performance and reliability
- Apply structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis using 5-why, fishbone diagrams, and FMEA to resolve equipment and process issues and implement effective CAPA
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and design teams to align project goals, resolve issues, and ensure consistent execution across the manufacturing lifecycle
- Enforce safety and EHS compliance by following protocols, supporting safety buyoffs, and maintaining a hazard-free work environment
- 4 or more years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic technology, or equivalent experience
- Experience installing and maintaining manufacturing equipment
- Experience assembling equipment from mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to safety protocols and EHS compliance in a manufacturing environment
