This is an hourly position eligible for overtime and double time on extended shifts. Pay range: $30 – $34.50 per hour, depending on experience.
A Day in the Life
- Start with a production walkthrough: review equipment KPIs, check work orders, and prioritize critical machines.
- Tune and troubleshoot high‑speed manufacturing assets to keep throughput on target.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy machinery and large fuel distribution systems.
- Apply know‑how across bulk material transfer, processing and packaging lines, and facilities/utilities to elevate reliability.
- Document work in plant computer systems; use digital tools for root‑cause analysis and technical diagnostics.
- Champion safety: follow GMPs, SOPs, and all site safety requirements; keep work areas audit‑ready.
- Partner with a high‑performing team to implement improvements that support disruptive food‑science innovation and delight consumers while building long‑term value.
What You Bring
- High school diploma/GED required; technical/trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
- 2–5 years as a maintenance mechanic or millwright in manufacturing (high‑speed environment preferred).
- Confidence working safely across low to high power voltages.
- Hands‑on experience with heavy equipment and large fuel distribution systems.
- Collaborative mindset with a record of contributing to high‑performing teams.
- Comfort with computer‑based documentation and troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements
Navigate the production floor where temperatures vary and dust particulates may be present. Expect prolonged standing and walking, with regular bending, stooping, climbing, and crouching to service and clean equipment. Ability to push, lift, and pull raw materials (e.g., film, tin tie rolls, valves) up to 60 lbs.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant setting with moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to high noise, dusts, heat, cold, and fumes from chemicals used in flavorings.
