Manufacturing/Extrusion Technician - Multiple Shifts

Hours
2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday
Pay
$25.00 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
Support film extrusion operations by performing equipment set-up, operation, tooling, and product changeovers
Monitor and adjust computerized systems for batch recipes, film thickness, and quality
Recognize and document defects or deviations from specifications, escalating issues promptly
Provide recommendations and implement solutions to resolve equipment or process problems
Establish and maintain organized workspaces for cleaning, inspection, and daily operations
Perform all material handling functions for raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress
Demonstrate strong discipline by following procedures and work instructions to ensure safety and quality
Adapt to evolving team structures, schedules, and responsibilities
Develop mechanical understanding of the extrusion process to support career growth within manufacturing
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or GED, or 4+ years of manufacturing experience
1+ years of plastics processing experience, including extrusion or related processes
Must be detail-oriented and computer literate, with basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Ability to perform basic math, measurements, and metrology
Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude strongly preferred
Experience operating material handling equipment such as tow motors or pallet jacks
Previous experience working an off-shift role
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and remain standing/walking for extended periods
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with extrusion, cast or blown film, calendaring, or injection molding
Familiarity with computerized operator settings and adjustments
Strong desire to learn and grow within the extrusion manufacturing field
Preferred Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
1+ years of plastics processing and extrusion experience
Other Requirements
Ability to work on-site in a bright, clean, and sometimes noisy shop environment
Demonstrated eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to change
Capable of understanding and calibrating computerized systems
