Job Title: Manufacturing Industrialization Engineer (Latham NY)

Job Description:

The Manufacturing Industrial Engineer plays a critical role in shaping and sustaining the factory environment to support safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for shop floor layout strategy, equipment capacity planning, and the execution of manufacturing and facility projects, ensuring the site is positioned to meet current production needs and future growth. Working cross-functionally, the role applies Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to enhance productivity, support equipment implementation, and strengthen manufacturing readiness.

Your Role:

Be part of a Manufacturing Engineering organization of approximately 35 professionals, including Engineers, IT Specialists, Drafters, and Technicians, supporting site manufacturing operations. This role contributes to cross-functional execution and technical alignment across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead shop floor layout planning and space optimization, maintaining accurate factory prints and coordinating moves, additions, and deletions to support current and future production needs. • Maintain equipment capacity models to support volume scenarios and long-range manufacturing strategies. • Support the installation, startup, and ramp-up of new equipment and manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth transition to full production. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. • Serve as a key member of the Facility and Asset teams, coordinating daily needs and capital projects with Maintenance and JLL. • Oversee equipment tagging, offsite asset tracking, warehouse inventory, and removal of scrapped assets.

Addressing Complex Challenges:

Address complex manufacturing and industrialization challenges through structured problem solving and continuous improvement. Apply Lean manufacturing principles to drive productivity, efficiency, and safety improvements across the production environment.

Youre the Right Fit:

You have acquired a Minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing/ Operations, including experience supporting/installing equipment, facilities, warehousing, process development and/or production systems within Medical Devices industry preferred; Industrialization activities are a plus.

Your Skills Include:

• Deep understanding of manufacturing systems, shop floor layout, capacity analysis; • Lean Six Sigma Methodologies, proven ability to manage multiple projects; • Familiarity with EHS requirements, contractor coordination, and regulated manufacturing environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field. • Ability to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Working with Us:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details:

The pay range for this position in NY is $107,000 to $170,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
