Manufacturing Inspection Technician - Multiple Shifts

Hours
3rd Shift: 10:00 pm 6:30 am, Sunday - Thursday
Pay
$25.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
Prepare test samples according to established procedures using tools such as precision cutters, laser cutters, and sputter coaters
Perform line in-process inspections and laboratory tests
Use precision inspection instruments including micrometers, drop gauges, electrical Hipot testers, and tensile testers
Record inspection and test data, perform light analysis, and report defects to supervision
Compile inspection results for companywide reporting
Follow safety protocols during electrical testing, heated oil testing, and material handling
Support extrusion operations up to 20% of the time as a manufacturing technician
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma, associates degree, or post-secondary education preferred
3+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing or quality control environment
Experience in a materials testing laboratory or quality assurance role
Plastics processing equipment experience (extrusion, cast or blown film, calendaring, injection molding)
Electrical and mechanical aptitude preferred
Strong math and measurement skills
Good computer skills, including data entry
Ability to learn new test methods and equipment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Experience working off-shift roles and operating material handling equipment like tow motors or pallet jacks
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with electrical, heat, oil, and material testing of plastics
Familiarity with computer software for inspection and testing
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or higher
3+ years in plastics manufacturing or quality assurance
Other Requirements
Must be able to visually inspect and measure plastic film in multiple ways
Willingness to work with advanced inspection technology in a laboratory environment
Must be computer literate and adaptable to new software
