Manufacturing Inspector

Location: Piney Flats, TN

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure the highest quality products and services for customers.
• Inspect parts, assemblies, raw materials, and finishes to verify compliance with design specifications.
• Operate various equipment and testing instruments as required, working from blueprints, diagrams, and engineering orders.
• Approve or reject manufacturing work based on required standards, communicating approval/rejection status to manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Adhere fully to work instructions and related policies, procedures, and processes.
• Understand basic blueprints and manufacturing drawings.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED with 0-1 years of experience relevant to job duties.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to use basic measuring equipment such as scales, calipers, and tape measures.
• Ability to complete required documentation under supervision.
• Ability to perform entry-level inspections in assigned areas.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods, up to the duration of the shift.
• Ability to kneel, squat, stand, sit, and carry throughout the day.
• Ability to wear all protective equipment (e.g., protective gloves, safety glasses).
• Ability to work amidst mild chemical odors such as lacquer thinner, proseal, and adhesives.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to work in an environment with exposure to various chemicals, dust, odors, and machine heat cycles.
