The Manufacturing IT Developer III will support and enhance manufacturing systems by developing, integrating, and maintaining applications that interact with plant floor equipment and PLC systems. This role requires strong expertise in Wonderware, .NET technologies, and data acquisition from industrial systems to support operational efficiency and production performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain manufacturing IT applications and systems
- Work extensively with Wonderware (industrial automation software)
- Perform PLC data acquisition and integration
- Design and develop applications using:
- Develop and optimize advanced T-SQL queries and databases
- Support end-to-end project lifecycle (design to post-implementation support)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing systems
Must-Have Requirements- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing IT environment
- Strong experience with Wonderware software
- Experience with PLC data acquisition systems
- Proficiency in:
- .NET technologies (VB.NET, ADO.NET, ASP.NET)
- Experience with T-SQL programming
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related IT field
Required Skills- Strong programming skills in .NET framework
- Experience with industrial automation systems and manufacturing environments
- Advanced T-SQL and database management skills
- Ability to manage projects from concept to implementation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills- Experience with Kepware or similar PLC communication tools
- Familiarity with classic ASP
- Experience with Zebra handheld scanners/devices
- Exposure to manufacturing execution systems (MES)
