Manufacturing IT Systems EngineerOverviewWe are seeking an IT Systems Engineer to support a large-scale project in the Raleigh area. This role is part of a cross‑functional IT Infrastructure team and will provide Tier 1–2 operational support, as well as assist in the maintenance and administration of IT systems.This is an individual contributor role (non‑managerial) reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager for the project.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with:Network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points)Infrastructure systems (monitoring tools, network management systems)Provide hands‑on support for hardware and software, including:Server room and patch room buildoutsDeliver Tier 1–2 support for:Network infrastructureOnsite virtual serversERP systems (including SAP support such as iDOC monitoring, analysis, and issue resolution)Act as liaison between site users and centralized IT support teamsProvide after‑hours and ad hoc support for production and IT‑related issuesMaintain network and infrastructure documentation according to corporate and regulatory standardsSupport backup and restore processes for manufacturing systemsCollaborate with vendors for troubleshooting, installations, and system improvementsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, cGMP)Follow all safety, environmental, and PPE requirementsParticipate in system lifecycle activities and IT/automation implementationSupport project milestones and communicate progress to project management teamsEnsure alignment with project scope, quality standards, and architecture requirementsPerform additional duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldORAssociate's degree in a related field plus 7+ years of relevant experience in:Network implementation and administration in medium to large enterprise environmentsSupporting Windows‑based virtual serversPreferred Skills & ExperienceNetworking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP )Strong understanding of networking principles and conceptsExperience troubleshooting and maintaining:Network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls)Infrastructure systems and monitoring toolsExperience with Windows‑based virtual server environmentsBackground in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, food, beverage, manufacturing)Knowledge of:IT infrastructure lifecycle managementNetwork security implementationRegulatory compliance for computer‑based systems (e.g., FDA guidelines)Experience coordinating across IT infrastructure, networking, and application teamsStrong documentation and communication skillsWork Environment & ExpectationsOnsite role (5 days/week) with direct customer interactionOccasional travel may be required to support project deliveryProvide after‑hours support as neededMust complete assigned SOPs on timeExpected to commit full‑time for the duration of a multi‑year projectStrong documentation and communication skillsCompensation:$125,000 - $160,000 with company subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance with PTO and Holiday Offerings available#J-18808-Ljbffr
