Manufacturing Lead - Cable Dept - Day Shift

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Lead Manufacturing associate within the Cable Department of a dynamic client in the manufacturing space.  This role will be contract to hire based on performance.

Are you a natural leader with a strong background in electronic and cable assembly? In this high-energy role, you will lead a graveyard shift team building high-volume network racks, managing cable installations, and ensuring top-tier product quality. for a premier client in the Fremont area for DayShift Lead will be working within a fast paced manufacturing environment working on network racks, rack building and large volume of cables. 

Job Title: Cabling Lead

Location: Fremont, CA

Shift: Day Shift: 6:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / hour

Overtime & Bonus Eligibility: Saturday overtime is available after completing 40 hours during the standard work week. Saturday overtime includes 1.5x regular pay plus a $75 bonus.

About the Role

What You’ll Do

• 
  Lead & Mentor: Guide, assist, and train a team of 10+ production associates, serving as the go-to resource on the floor.
  
• 
  Ensure Quality: Perform spot checks on finished products to maintain strict quality standards.
  
• 
  Build & Assemble: Hands-on oversight of network rack building, power supply integration, and high-volume cable routing.
  
• 
  Collaborate: Partner closely with manufacturing teams and engineers to keep operations running smoothly.
  
• 
  Track Progress: Use MS Word and Excel to maintain accurate daily production logs and reporting.
  

What You Bring

• 
  Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  
• 
  Technical Expertise: Proven background in large-volume cable installation, power supplies, and network rack assembly.
  
• 
  Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated experience leading and motivating a team of 10 or more associates.
  
• 
  Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and ability to work safely on step ladders.
  
• 
  Tech Skills: Proficiency in basic MS Office tools (Word, Excel) for tracking operations.
  
• 
  Soft Skills: Strong communication, task prioritization, and a collaborative team mindset.
