Position Overview

The Manufacturing Lead plays a key role in supporting daily production operations by directing team members, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring quality and productivity goals are met. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys coaching and developing others.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead shift start-up meetings, communicating priorities, production targets, and updates
• Coordinate and assign daily production activities to team members
• Monitor workflow and ensure efficient movement of work-in-progress (WIP)
• Attend daily production/shipping recap meetings when Supervisor is not present
• Prepare and maintain daily productivity reports
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve production issues proactively
• Ensure 5S standards and housekeeping tasks are completed daily
• Monitor department KPIs and analyze performance trends
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
• Develop and coach team members through training and mentoring
• Promote a positive team environment and open communication
• Lead by example in attendance, performance, and attitude

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation (MPI)
• Experience training and leading production teams
• Intermediate computer skills, including Excel
• Ability to work on complex assignments and solve problems independently
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proven ability to provide guidance to team members and drive results
