Position Summary
The Line Leader is responsible for leading and supervising daily production line operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely manufacturing of high-quality products. This role provides leadership to production team members, drives continuous improvement initiatives, monitors productivity and quality, and ensures compliance with company policies, GMPs, ISO standards, and 5S/6S workplace organization practices.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to motivate teams while maintaining production, safety, and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and supervise production team members to achieve daily production, quality, and safety objectives.
Oversee production line operations to maximize efficiency while minimizing downtime and waste.
Ensure products are manufactured according to customer specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.
Train, mentor, and onboard new employees on production processes, safety procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and assist with performance improvement when needed.
Identify production issues, troubleshoot operational challenges, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
Conduct routine quality inspections and verify finished products meet company and customer specifications.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ISO standards, food safety requirements (if applicable), and company policies.
Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by enforcing 5S/6S standards.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and on-time production.
Monitor production schedules and staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage while maximizing productivity.
Maintain accurate production records, inventory documentation, downtime reports, and other required operational reports.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
Ensure all employees consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow established safety procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications
2–5 years of manufacturing or production experience.
Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
Experience with quality inspections, production reporting, and inventory documentation.
Working knowledge of GMPs, ISO standards, SOPs, and 5S/6S principles.
Strong leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and production reporting systems.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
