Manufacturing Machine Support Technician

A day in this role — Matthews, NC, 28105

Step onto the floor, review the production plan, and team up with a lead operator to prepare equipment for the day’s run. You’ll handle set-ups and changeovers, verify safety guards, and bring machines online smoothly. Throughout the shift, you’ll watch performance indicators, listen for unusual sounds, and capture key operating data. When something’s off, you’ll flag it quickly and help troubleshoot. Between runs, you’ll complete preventive cleaning and basic upkeep so each machine is ready for peak output. Collaboration is constant—you’ll coordinate with teammates to meet targets and timelines, and you’ll join training sessions that expand your knowledge of our machinery and processes.

What you’ll handle

• Support lead operators with equipment set-up, adjustments, and smooth start-ups.
• Track machine behavior during production and promptly report malfunctions or irregularities.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and help maintain a safe work area.
• Perform routine cleaning and light preventive maintenance to sustain optimal performance.
• Document production counts and relevant machine parameters with accuracy.
• Work closely with your crew to achieve daily schedules and deadlines.
• Participate in ongoing training to build skills and expand technical know-how.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
