Keep the Line Running
Join a team that safeguards uptime and safety. In this role, you’ll own diagnostics, repairs, and code-compliant maintenance across power distribution and controls, with a strong focus on PLCs and AC/DC drives.
Your Impact
- Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and electrical systems using meters and hand tools; identify the root cause and correct it quickly.
- Perform thorough inspections to spot hazards, defects, and adjustment needs, ensuring all work meets electrical code requirements.
- Repair and replace conductors, components, and devices using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures to precise standards.
- Test system performance, compatibility, and circuit continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and ammeters.
- Navigate an internet-based work order system within a Microsoft Windows environment to track and complete tasks.
Technical Scope
- High-voltage distribution up to 480V three-phase and 500V DC.
- Low-voltage control circuits supporting automation and interlocks.
- AC/DC variable speed drives and PLC systems within a manufacturing facility.
- Interfaces with pneumatic and hydraulic mechanisms.
What You’ll Leverage
- Advanced troubleshooting ability on 480V 3-phase and 500V DC systems.
- Strong grasp of low-voltage controls and related diagnostics.
- Confidence with test instruments: digital multimeters and ammeters, among others.
- Skill in reading schematics, recognizing electrical symbols, and interpreting technical specifications.
- Solid foundation in electrical theory, including the practical use of Ohm’s law.
- Basic mechanical capability with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Hands-on experience working with AC/DC drives and PLCs in manufacturing operations.
