Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to lead preventive maintenance scheduling, work‑order coordination, and parts planning. This role is ideal for a hands‑on maintenance professional who has transitioned into planning and wants to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and strengthen maintenance processes.

Responsibilities:
- Create, prioritize, and manage work orders in a CMMS.
- Build, update, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with production to minimize disruption.
- Support emergency maintenance needs by adjusting schedules and resources.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime.
- Manage parts inventory, including sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and staging materials.
- Train team members on maintenance systems, PM processes, and CMMS best practices.
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to maintenance processes.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Proven experience building or improving preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience planning and scheduling maintenance in a production environment.
- Parts/inventory coordination experience (sourcing, staging, vendor interaction)
- Strong experience with CMMS systems (work orders, PMs, asset records, scheduling)
- All education levels will be considered; equivalent practical experience is fully acceptable.
- 5+ years of hands‑on maintenance or facilities experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally with maintenance, engineering, and operations.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with purchasing systems or MRO inventory management.
- Experience with reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) or TPM principles.
- Experience in food production, CPG, beverage, or other high‑volume manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk the production floor, inspect equipment, and support maintenance activities as needed.
