Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, Production Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Maintenance Tech

 

Pay Rate: $32.00/hour
 Schedule: 3rd Shift, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
 Location: Phoenix
 Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Potential
 Overtime Available

 

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support operations at a high-volume frozen food manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ. This is a hands-on role supporting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.

 

This position offers long-term potential, consistent overtime opportunities, and the chance to work within a world-class manufacturing operation.

 

Schedule Information

  • 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
  • Currently working 5 days per week
  • Schedule will increase to 6 days per week during peak production season
  • Overtime required during busy season
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and adjusted schedules as needed

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Support Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify root causes of breakdowns
  • Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and summary reports accurately
  • Maintain equipment performance to maximize production efficiency and quality
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize computer systems for maintenance tracking and data entry
  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional manufacturing environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience required
  • 5+ years of related experience may be considered in place of formal education
  • Experience working in manufacturing, production, food processing, dairy, beverage, packaging, or industrial environments preferred
  • Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
  • Working knowledge of:
    • valves
    • valve actuators
    • gaskets
    • seals
    • HTST processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and PLC programming is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Work Environment & Safety Requirements

  • PPE required including goggles and hearing protection
  • Steel-toed boots required
  • Additional safety equipment will be provided
  • Manufacturing and production floor environment
