    Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

    Location: Richmond, VA
    Pay:$36.00–$39.00 per hour
    Job Type: Full-Time
    Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | Overtime as Needed

    ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment that keeps our fabrication shop running efficiently. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and ensuring production equipment operates safely and reliably.

    What You'll Do

    • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
    • Maintain production equipment including:
      • Coil lines
      • Plasma tables
      • Press brakes
      • Waterjet equipment
      • Robotics and automated fabrication equipment
      • Other sheet metal and pipe fabrication machinery
    • Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
    • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
    • Perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, and other material handling equipment.
    • Assist with the inspection and maintenance of overhead cranes and hoist systems.
    • Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies and coordinate material purchases as needed.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Follow ColonialWebb safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.
    • Work closely with production personnel to keep manufacturing operations running efficiently.

    What We're Looking For

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
    • Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment in a fabrication or production environment.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills involving:
      • Mechanical systems
      • Electrical systems
      • Pneumatics
      • Hydraulics
      • PLC-controlled equipment
    • Experience maintaining forklifts and other material handling equipment.
    • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability.
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Commitment to workplace safety.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent industrial electrical experience.
    • Experience troubleshooting PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment.
    • Experience maintaining overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.
    • Experience maintaining aerial lifts and personnel lifts.
    • Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
    • Welding and fabrication experience.
    • Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial production facility.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the workday.
    • Ability to safely lift materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
    • Ability to work around moving machinery and industrial equipment.
    • Ability to wear required PPE, including:
      • Safety glasses
      • Hearing protection
      • Gloves
      • Steel-toe or composite-toe footwear
      • High-visibility vest
      • Hard hat and other PPE as required

    Experience

    • Manufacturing Maintenance: 5+ years (Preferred)

    License/Certification

    • Journeyman Electrician License (Preferred)
