Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician with a background supporting injection molding equipment? We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with an established manufacturing company in Elgin, IL. This Maintenance Technician will be responsible for keeping injection molding machinery, support equipment, and facility systems operating safely and efficiently while minimizing production downtime. Must Haves

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience working with hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatics and with injection molding required.
• Experience maintaining or repairing equipment within an injection molding environment
• Understanding of injection molding support equipment such as thermolators, sprue pickers, robots, and grinders
• Ability to read basic mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints
• Hands-on ability with electrical wiring, fabrication, welding/brazing, and general mechanical repairs

What You’ll Be Doing

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair injection molding machines and supporting production equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and minimize production downtime
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and equipment-related problems
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance and repair records for machinery and facility equipment
• Handle general facility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, welding, brazing, conduit bending, and fabrication

Nice to Haves

• Experience troubleshooting robots and automated equipment used with injection molding machinery
• General plumbing experience with PVC and galvanized pipe
• Experience with electrical wiring, conduit bending, and fabrication
• Self-motivated troubleshooting skills with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
