We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Manager to lead a sizable Assembly Operation at a growing manufacturer of high-end, customized products. This is a significant leadership role, not a floor supervisor or scheduling position. You will directly supervise a team of Department Supervisors and indirectly lead approximately 100 production employees across general assembly, testing, and machining.
The ideal candidate combines strong manufacturing leadership with a genuine Lean and continuous improvement mindset, and a track record of developing supervisors and building high-performing teams.
What you'll do:
Lead the overall performance of the Assembly Operation
Manage production across assembly areas to maximize equipment, materials, and personnel efficiency
Manage manufacturing budgets, labor, headcount, and CapEx
Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
Improve productivity, quality, cycle time, and lead time while reducing costs
Own and monitor manufacturing KPIs
Drive safety and compliance
Support new products and product-line changes
Improve material handling and inventory accuracy
Develop supervisors and future manufacturing leaders
Build a positive, accountable, and collaborative manufacturing culture
Improve collaboration across departments and shifts
Identify future manufacturing capabilities, technologies, and growth opportunities
Analyze operating reports and present results, opportunities, and plans to executive leadership
What you need:
7-10 years of manufacturing experience
3+ years of management-level manufacturing experience
True manufacturing leadership experience, not primarily warehouse, distribution, supply chain, or logistics
Experience managing at least 50 employees, including through supervisors or leads
Strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
Proven experience improving cycle time, lead time, productivity, workflow, capacity, or cost
Strong KPI and data-driven manufacturing management experience
Experience managing manufacturing budgets, labor/headcount, and cost
ERP/MRP experience
Strong people leadership and supervisor development skills
Ability to lead change and gain employee buy-in
Strong floor presence and communication skills, from hourly employees through executive leadership
Good tenure and stability, particularly in recent positions
Spanish bilingual strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
Schedule: Full time, onsite.
