Job Description
Reporting directly into the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for the following:
- Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
- Drive a culture of safety by implementing and enforcing protocols and proactively reducing risk across the facility
- Manage workforce planning, including staffing, cross-training, and contingency strategies to meet fluctuating production demands
- Develop and track key performance metrics to improve operational outcomes and support plant objectives
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members, setting clear performance expectations and fostering accountability
- Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies to improve overall profitability
- Utilize data and analytics to identify process gaps and implement effective solutions
- Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize operations and align with broader business goals
- Ensure all policies, procedures, and best practices are followed consistently across the site

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role (typically 7+ years)
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies (Six Sigma experience preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and process improvement
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience working with ERP systems and standard business software tools
- Exposure to plastics, extrusion, or automation technologies is advantageous
