Job Description

Reporting into the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are achieved
  • Drive a strong safety culture by enforcing compliance, reducing risk, and promoting best practices across the site
  • Develop and optimize production schedules and workforce planning to meet changing business demands
  • Implement and lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to track performance across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of manufacturing staff, setting clear objectives and driving accountability
  • Identify training needs and support ongoing employee development and succession planning
  • Utilize data and metrics to identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Support plant leadership with strategic initiatives and operational improvements
  • Lead change management efforts, ensuring strong employee engagement and adoption
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards
  • Contribute to the development of automation and process enhancement strategies where applicable

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisory role with oversight of shift supervisors
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role within textiles or a related production environment
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma certification advantageous)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience managing performance metrics and delivering measurable operational improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working with urgency
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and standard business software tools
