Description

Manufacturing Materials Logistics Technician

Location: 3411 Woodhead Dr, Northbrook, IL 60062

Hire Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $19.50/hr


Day in the Life

As the go-to materials specialist on our production floor, you’ll start your morning reviewing the day’s builds and staging raw stock so machining never slows down. Between coordinating inbound deliveries, verifying counts, and moving finished components to shipping, you’ll keep our workflow smooth and on-time. Throughout the day you’ll hop on a forklift or pallet jack, update inventory locations, and pitch in on shipping/receiving so our teams have exactly what they need—right when they need it.

What You’ll Do

  • Transport raw materials and finished goods between warehouse and production cells.
  • Replenish materials for daily manufacturing schedules and work orders.
  • Load and unload trucks; inspect deliveries, note discrepancies, and report damages.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material handling equipment.
  • Support shipping, receiving, and orderly inventory storage.
  • Assist with cycle counts and overall inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain clean, well-organized aisles, racks, and staging areas.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

What You Bring

  • Experience in warehouse or material handling (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and move materials safely.
  • Detail-driven, organized, with strong follow-through.
  • Reliable attendance and a solid work ethic.
  • Comfort collaborating with a team and working independently.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced production setting.
