Position Summary/Essential Functions:
The Manufacturing Engineer II position identifies, develops and implements continuous improvement in manufacturing processes in the department thru the use of lean techniques. Able to review technical drawings and suggest improvements to reduce cost, rework or scrap. This individual should be familiar with statistics and process control.
The Manufacturing Engineer II proactively:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BS/BSc) in Manufacturing, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering,
Must be able to obtain or have a current DoD Security Clearance.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years'' of related experience and/or training.
Must have 1-3 years'' experience applying lean techniques.
Expected to be subject matter expert in one or more of the following discplines:
Hydraulics
Refrigeration Systems
Control Systems
Machining/Fabrication Processes
Will be called upon to train others.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
