Manufacturing Operations Coordinator

Location: San Jose, CA | Schedule: 1st shift, 8:30am to 5pm | Pay: $25-$27/hour 

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with an industry leader in electronics manufacturing to hire a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator. As an Operations Coordinator, you'll serve as a vital connection between customers, production, and warehouse operations—helping ensure every order is processed accurately, prioritized appropriately, and completed on time. 

What You'll Do 

In this hands-on role, you'll support daily operations by: 

• Entering customer orders into the ERP system quickly and accurately. 

• Preparing job travelers, printing documentation, and organizing paperwork with incoming parts. 

• Visually inspecting and comparing parts against traveler documentation for accuracy. 

• Communicating with customers via phone, email, and text regarding delivery dates, expedited requests, order confirmations, and quality-related updates. 

• Coordinating expedited and priority ("HOT") orders to meet customer expectations. 

• Working with production, quality, and sales operations teams to resolve order issues and maintain workflow. 

• Assisting with warehouse staging and prioritization of parts and production batches. 

• Supporting ERP scanning to accurately track products throughout production. 

• Taking and uploading photos of discrepant materials for customer notification. 

• Assisting with scanning and uploading order documentation, including travelers, packing slips, purchase orders, and drawings. 

• Supporting customer quoting activities (training provided). 

• Maintaining organized work areas while following all safety and quality procedures. 

• Providing additional operational support wherever needed to keep production running smoothly. 

What We're Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or factory environment, including order entry, shipping & receiving, and customer service. 

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills. 

• Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute with accuracy. 

• Basic math proficiency. 

• Strong organizational and time management skills. 

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Ability to troubleshoot issues and take initiative. 

• Comfortable working in a warehouse and production environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment. 

• Experience creating or maintaining manufacturing documentation (MOMs). 

• Previous experience supporting production scheduling or warehouse operations. 

• Customer service experience within manufacturing or industrial operations. 

Work Environment 

This position is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment where employees may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, vibration, and elevated noise levels. Safety is always a priority, and adherence to established procedures is essential. 

This is an active role requiring standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and lifting throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to lift up to 35 pounds, perform frequent material handling, and possess corrected 20/20 vision, including the ability to distinguish colors and adjust focus.
