General Description: This internship provides students with direct exposure to manufacturing operations, production support activities, work instruction development, safety initiatives, and
training coordination within a dynamic LSR injection molding manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Create and update production work instructions.
• Support safety initiatives and training documentation.
• Assist with production reporting and operational organization.
• Analyze production performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support KPI development, reporting, and performance tracking initiatives.
• Assist with operational performance reviews and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Production Leadership to evaluate productivity, quality, and efficiency
metrics.
• Help develop safety and training matrices.
• Support manufacturing process improvements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and production personnel.
• Assist with operational efficiency initiatives.
• Participate in shop floor improvement projects.
• Identify non-conforming products or processes during inspections and ensure that proper
containment actions are taken.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and implement corrective and
preventive actions (CAPA) in collaboration with the production, engineering, and quality
teams.
• Document non-conformance reports (NCRs), track quality issues, and provide feedback
to relevant teams on trends and recurring problems.
