Imagine starting your shift by walking the floor of a clean-energy manufacturing line that helps make 100% renewable power a reality. You check the build plan, align people and tools, and kick off a quick huddle to turn production goals into clear priorities. As the Manufacturing Operations Lead, you orchestrate the work: ensuring materials are staged, equipment is ready, and each assembly team knows exactly what success looks like today.
You translate production objectives into actionable tasks, keep a close eye on KPIs, and tackle risks before they become roadblocks. You’re a champion of Lean and 5S, driving process improvements that elevate quality, safety, and throughput. When issues arise, you partner with Safety, Quality, and Engineering to investigate incidents or near misses, get to root cause, and lock in corrective and preventive actions. You verify standard work is followed, escalate deviations quickly, and coach your team toward high performance and engagement.
Safety isn’t a poster on the wall—it's how you lead. You know the protocols, enforce regulations, and proactively remove hazards. You model proper PPE: eye protection, hearing protectors, steel‑toe boots, and hard hats. You ensure no loose‑fitting clothing or jewelry is worn on the floor. You communicate clearly to keep everyone safe and can speak and understand English fluently to share safety and job information and collaborate with supervisors and teammates.
