A day in this role

On first shift, you kick off with a quick stand-up, align labor to production goals, and set the tone on a busy shop floor. Your ERP dashboard guides real-time decisions as you position operators, balance work centers, and clear the path for on-time output. Mid-morning, you audit Bills of Material (BOMs), push live updates through the ERP/MRP, and review labor and productivity metrics to keep accuracy tight. As orders move, you coordinate the master outbound shipping and delivery timeline so high-priority custom builds leave exactly when customers expect.

Throughout the day, you’re the on-site go-to for equipment uptime—triaging minor issues, partnering with maintenance when needed, and implementing straightforward process tweaks to remove bottlenecks. Between coaching moments and structured cross-training, you develop a safety-first, versatile team that can flex to demand. Before close, you verify that documentation is current, shipments are sequenced, and the floor is set up to hit tomorrow’s targets.

Note: This is a first-shift position.

What you’ll own

  • Daily leadership of production and assembly activities, including labor allocation to consistently meet output goals
  • Control of outbound shipping and delivery schedules to keep logistics synchronized and urgent custom orders on time
  • Accuracy stewardship: BOM audits, real-time ERP updates, and oversight of labor/productivity reporting
  • People development through cross-training, rigorous safety adherence, and proactive performance coaching
  • Primary on-site contact for equipment uptime and floor-level process improvements to remove manufacturing bottlenecks

What you bring

  • 5+ years supervising in manufacturing, including 3–5 years serving as the decisive authority on a fast-moving production floor
  • At least 1 year directly owning outbound shipping schedules with a track record of on-time order release
  • A decisive, proactive, resilient leadership style—lead by example, delegate well, and hold teams to high standards
  • Strong digital fluency: deep hands-on ERP/MRP experience and the ability to read/interpret technical drawings or schematics
  • Consistent, progressive employment history without frequent short-duration moves
