Manufacturing Operations Team Lead

Picture your day beginning with a floor walk: you greet the crew, review overnight KPIs, and run a quick huddle to align on safety, quality, and output goals. By mid-morning, you're syncing with Engineering on a process tweak, collaborating with Quality to confirm specs, and coordinating with Supply Chain and Logistics to keep materials and shipments moving. After lunch, you refine work instructions, coach a new team lead, and dive into a Lean kaizen to shave minutes off a critical changeover. You wrap with clear operational reporting and a plan to hit tomorrow’s targets—safely, efficiently, and to standard.

What you’ll own

• Lead and supervise day-to-day manufacturing operations on the production floor.
• Ensure output goals are achieved while meeting all quality requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics to remove roadblocks and maintain flow.
• Create, refine, and implement standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Track and analyze KPIs, then prepare concise operational reports for leadership.
• Oversee scheduling, training, and performance reviews to develop a high-performing team.
• Champion OSHA, safety, and environmental compliance across all activities.
• Advance continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Manage inventory control and partner on equipment maintenance to reduce downtime.

What you bring

• Proven experience leading manufacturing or production teams.
• Strong leadership presence and clear, effective communication skills.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and ISO standards and how to apply them on the floor.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or other manufacturing software systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (certification preferred but not required).
• Analytical mindset and practical problem-solving skills.
• Background in inventory management and production planning.
