Step into the role that keeps production moving

Picture your day starting with a quick safety walk, a scan of KPI dashboards, and a huddle with a tight-knit crew—12 production associates and 1 Technical Lead—ready to execute the plan. As the Manufacturing Operations Team Lead, you’ll turn schedules into results, coach people to their best, and keep quality and safety non‑negotiable.

Where you fit

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you own the day-to-day rhythm of the manufacturing floor. You’re the point person for coordinating workflow, aligning resources, and escalating issues so targets are met without compromising standards.

What a strong day looks like

  • Open with a safety check and ensure health, safety, and environmental practices are followed in every task.
  • Lead the morning huddle; align the production schedule to capacity and materials, then assign work.
  • Track KPIs—safety, quality, OEE, productivity—and remove obstacles to keep performance on plan.
  • Coach team members, deliver feedback, and complete performance evaluations on time.
  • Onboard and train new hires, reinforcing SOPs, policy compliance, and best practices.
  • Partner with maintenance on preventative work and jump on process improvements to reduce downtime and waste.
  • Communicate status and issues clearly to peers and leadership; document progress and next steps.

Tools and systems

  • Microsoft Office for planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS platforms (SAP, AS400 a plus) to review orders, inventory, and production data.

What you bring

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment with a solid grasp of operations and process improvement.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred; you motivate, organize, and hold standards.
  • Clear communicator who can prioritize, problem-solve, and keep the team aligned to goals.

Work environment and physical expectations

  • Manufacturing setting with low to moderate noise.
  • Regular standing and walking; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.; other physical movements as needed to support operations.

If you thrive on leading people, improving processes, and turning plans into performance, this role puts you at the center of operational excellence.
