Essential Job Functions
Follow written instructions to manufacture, package, and label products.
Complete in-process inspections and prepare samples for QC, as needed.
Generate and maintain batch records.
Operate and assist in maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment, including automated production equipment.
Maintain accurate record of raw material inventory and request supplies at established levels.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and assist with simple experiments to increase yield, improve product quality, and/or develop new products.
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas and laboratory equipment.
Take part in and contribute to a safe working environment by following corporate and departmental safety regulations.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Good communication and organizational skills
1%2B year of work experience in an industrial setting
1%2B year of experience working with automated manufacturing equipment.
Prior experience operating lab equipment such as: balances, labelers, vacuum pumps, ovens, evaporators, and glove boxes
High attention to detail
Proficiency with computers
Ability to work independently or in small groups.
Ability to write legibly.
Basic math skills.
Physical Requirements:
Vision and hearing within normal limits.
Ability to move materials up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull low to moderate weight.
May involve repetitive hand and arm movements.
Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hrs.
Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment.
Ability to work in a laboratory setting where chemicals are used.
Use of hands to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements.
Ability to use ladders and steps.
