Will run manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently and follow supervisor’s instructions and the company’s safety policies to ensure that the products coming off the machine meet company standards for quality. Safety and consistency are top priorities.
Operate heavy industrial forklifts that pull product from the production lines and move them to the yard.
Review instructions that tell you what product is being made, what materials are needed, and how the machine should be set up.
Physically adjust the machine’s measuring devices — like stops, guides, or rulers — to control the length, height, or thickness of the product being made.
Will keep an eye (and ear) out for anything unusual — like strange noises, jams, or defective output and inspect the finished product to make sure it looks right and meets company quality standards.
Will handle simple maintenance tasks — cleaning, lubricating parts, replacing worn components, or checking oil levels — to keep the machine running well.
You may help coworkers adjust or prepare their machines, or jump in to handle general labor tasks (like loading materials or stacking finished products) to meet production goals and may occasionally be asked to handle extra tasks that support production — such as helping in another department, loading trucks, or completing paperwork.
Will be responsible for keeping your workspace clean and organized — sweeping up debris, putting tools away, and ensuring materials aren’t blocking aisles.
