Role Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Operator to join a dynamic manufacturing operation in Lake County, IL. This position is ideal for an individual with hands-on manufacturing experience who is comfortable operating production equipment, following GMP and safety procedures, monitoring processes, and troubleshooting routine operational issues.

Under general supervision, the Manufacturing Equipment Operator will set up and operate complex equipment, monitor manufacturing processes, maintain operating conditions within established parameters, and communicate operational issues to the appropriate team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment for routine production processes and minor processing changes.
• Monitor equipment and manufacturing processes to ensure operations remain within established parameters.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of assigned manufacturing operations and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
• Follow all applicable quality, safety, regulatory, and operational procedures.
• Operate manual or controlled-process equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot routine equipment or process issues, escalating more complex problems when necessary.
• Communicate operational events, equipment issues, and process concerns promptly and effectively.
• Participate in training with certified or qualified trainers to develop knowledge of equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Identify opportunities for process and operational improvements and assist with implementation.
• Participate in team meetings, share relevant information, and collaborate with colleagues to support production efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Basic technical knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment.
• Experience in a chemical, biological, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP principles, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow technical, regulatory, and safety procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to operate manufacturing or process equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
