This has helped us expand into new sectors and steadily grow.Job DescriptionEssential job functions include:Sets up, uses and cleans required equipment, tools and materials.Charges solids, liquids and gases to flasks and reactors.Monitors chemical reactions using analytical and laboratory equipment.Performs distillations, filtrations, extractions, recrystallization, and other techniques to purify and isolate products.Neutralizes and disposes off waste.Closely follows written procedures, MPR's, SOP's and other work instructions.Follows ISO and quality guidelines and participates in quality awareness and training sessions.Verifies quality and integrity of material and equipment used.Helps identify unsafe situations and makes suggestions to improve safety.Wears and maintains personal protective equipment as appropriate.Cleans and organizes work area.Participates in incident investigations and safety meetings.Ensures that work area is stocked with sufficient supplies and equipment.Enters information into lab notebook or batch record.Labels reactions, products and waste with content and status related information.Completes process logs and checklists.Fills out any ISO related documents.Maintains personal training record.Provides oral and/or written updates to supervisor and co-workers regarding process status (shift change).Communicates needs (materials, equipment, training, etc.) to supervisor or appropriate person.Makes suggestions for improvements and participates in PDSA test cycles.Perform miscellaneous duties and tasks as necessaryExemplary attendance and adherence to scheduleQualificationsEducation:HS diploma or equivalent is required. Chemistry or science associate degree is desirable.Experience:From 3 to 12 month working experience is necessary. Desired experience level is either working in industry or handling chemicals in some fashion.
