    Duration:          6 Months

    Job Description
    • Client is seeking a Senior (Level 4) Manufacturing Engineering Planner specializing in structures to support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP). This position will help lead development, revision, and validation of build plans, installation plans, and structural assembly work instructions. The role requires advanced hands-on and planning experience with aircraft structural modifications, strong technical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead creation, revision, and approval of structural build plans, installation plans, sequences, and associated work instructions for structural modifications and assemblies.
    • Translate engineering drawings, modification packages, and design intent into producible manufacturing and installation processes.
    • Develop and maintain production process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training packages, and assembly checklists.
    • Evaluate manufacturing methods and processes for structures (forming, machining, heat treatment, fastening, composite layup/repair, jigging/fixturing) and recommend optimal approaches for safety, cost, and schedule.
    • Perform producibility and manufacturability reviews, identify risks/opportunities, and drive design-for-manufacturing recommendations with engineering and design teams.
    • Lead EBOM/MBOM reconciliation activities for structural assemblies and ensure configuration integrity between engineering and production documentation.
    • Author and validate installation work instructions, tooling specs, and process control documents consistent with company and customer standards.
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Level 2–3 planners and manufacturing technicians; lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
    • Conduct data analysis (production metrics, NCRs, rework rates) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and quality.
    • Maintain and update data in web-based manufacturing planning systems and PLM tools; ensure documentation is revision controlled and compliant with AS9100 D / quality management requirements.
    • Coordinate with supply chain, tooling, test, and production floor personnel to ensure readiness for build and install activities; participate in Manufacturing Readiness Assessments.
    • Resolve high-impact technical problems affecting performance, cost, or schedule and escalate when required.
    • Support program-level manufacturing plans, schedule milestones, and deliverables; provide regular status reports to program leadership.
    Required Skill Sets:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

    • Ability to represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
    • Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, and develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
    • Expert in REDARS, GOLDesp, Microsoft Excel, CATIA, IVT and model based instructions
    Education / Experience:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
